This website outlines the struggles and abuses that Romanian orphanages caused for at least 100,000 children. This website shows how the orphanages impacted the brain because of abuse and neglect, and shows how so many children went unnoticed at this period of Romanian history. The treatment of women and the rise of communism during Romanian history affected all the lives of these children. The children struggled from such a young age, and because of this struggle, their brains and lives were completely altered and affected for the future.
